Calculation of initial fleets to be deployed on NHEV pilot route are based on the targeted EV% share of currently running ICE Diesel fleets between Jaipur – Delhi – Agra. Charging infrastructure deployment estimated on station are based on the pre-defined fleet trips and their frequencies. Converting traditional highways into E-highways requires timely planning to maximize benefits to investors. And charging infrastructure is a key to EV adoption. The utilization rate of charging stations rests on location, pricing, and other factors. Choosing a charging station that fits well with the location and investment needs is critical to EV adoption. ‘NHEV 2020’ has laid the groundwork for India’s EV revolution. With more than 30 percent utilization of charging stations, the project is likely to bring down the cost of electric vehicles and recoup the money invested in machinery & equipment.
